Islam means "PEACE". If you please read Quran, holy book of Muslims, you will find everywhere GOD asks for peace. Some people misleads "Jihad". It does not mean to fight others but it allows Muslims to defend themselves and it is very obvious. Some Muslims who are involved in terrorist activities do not represent Islamic believes and if you look into their own biography they were previously supported by some western country most commonly by USA like Usama bin Laden and his followers.

Islam is a religion of peace. Read the Koran. Not all terrorists are Muslims. The worst terrorists I've known about were white Christians. Do some research into terrorism and you'll see what I mean.

Islam does not promote terrorism anymore than Christianity. Every religion has the extremists to brainwash those that don't have a mind of their own.

I don't believe Islam promotes terrorism, it's just at this time, most of the terrorist are muslims.

But, all cultures are not equal. And the Islamic culture is a particularly intolerant culture. They believe in conversion by force where as most christians think a person has to freely accept salvation it can't be forced on anyone.

Our modern conception of Peace, as the absence of violence is actually a recent novelty. Properly speaking, peace is not the absence of violence but the control of it. Early Christians and Mohammed himself understood it this way. Even today we organize ourselves into states to secure the peace, and it is the state, whether democratic or tyrannical, that jealously maintains the sovereign power to commit acts of violence.

Read the Qu'ran. Unfortunately, it is quite explicit in it's permissions of violence. Especially throughout the second Sura. Deuteronomy 13 was the favorite of the Inquisitors. Jesus puts the stamp of approval on the Ten Commandments (also listed in Deuteronomy) Mark 10:19, keeping in mind that the penalty for breaking any of the commandments is death, or how about when he says, "I come not to bring peace to the world, but a sword" Matt 10:34.

Of course, reasonable people will say that scripture needs context and interpretation. Unfortunately, we can drive a truck through the loopholes. In fact, we can drive planes into buildings through them.

Islam is a religion of peace, like Christianity. It is the radical extremists who pervert both to promote their own agenda that alter our perceptions of them. Jimmy Pete has obviously never even looked at the Qur'an. Do not judge that which you don't understand...

Islam is a religion of peace. In fact, the name Islam comes from the root word Salaam, which means peace. Islam does not condone the killing of ANYONE, Muslim or non-Muslim, if they are innocent. Not all terrorists are Muslim either. There are terrorists all over the world. In fact, those terrorists, who are really terrorists, who kill people innocently, who illicit fear in the eyes of the people, I would be safe to say, are NOT MUSLIM!!!
Not those who defend their land....

Early teachings of the prophet were peaceful. Later teachings were very violent. It depends on which part of the Koran one takes to heart.

Islam has a sickness in it that the mainstream of muslim people do not seem interested in standing up to. My guess is that they wont until the price of staying silent against the whacko terrorists is higher than doing something about it. It is up to us to make the price higher.

in case you get all the way down to it Islam is a faith of Obedience to God. How a given man or woman or team chooses to interpret the words of the Prophet of Islam, pbuh, is between them and such God(s) as they comprehend, yet in charge Islam itself for the excesses of a few of it is followers is not any huge difference from blaming Christianity for the excesses dedicated contained in the call of Christ. do not overlook that Hitler replaced right into a non secular Christian and what he replaced into doing in the course of the Holocaust replaced into in finished accord with the teachings of maximum Christian church homes of his day, both in Europe and the U.S., a Christian Does that make Christianity a faith of peace or terrorism? As on your questions: a million. No, though a lot of human beings use it as an excuse for terrorism purely as do many Christians, bombing a organization progression and bombing an abortion health facility aren't to any extent further morally diverse, yet Christians condemn the first and cheer the 2d. 2. a similar reason the Christian missionaries killed possibility free human beings, to terrify them into submission and grab their land. What the Taliban is doing is not any diverse from what replaced into executed to the interior of sight human beings contained in the nineteenth century and is being justified a similar way, they're bringing them to the genuine God and coaching them proper habit contained in the way of the Lord. 3. Bigotry will continuously flourish between those who've no appreciate for others. The Muslims are diverse and they say that it is conceivable for Christians to be incorrect, because the skill, wealth, status, and impression of the Christian church homes relies upon on no longer being wondered they could't tolerate that and could do or say something it takes to save them from being heard or given credence.
