I don't think people should call them rivals because Messi is only 19 and Robinho is 22, but its wierd because they both play for rival national teams Messi (Argentina) and Robinho (Brazil), and play for rival clubs Messi (Barca) and Robinho (Real Madrid), and they compared to two of the best footballers ever Messi (Maradona), Robinho (Pele).
I personally like Lionel Messi better because at such a young age he is capable of doing so many great things.

Tina G i totally agree with u tht Messi is better bcuz he is younger and still seems to be more talented. I think he has made his mark in barcelona and in the Argentine team. And i also think that he is capable of being as good as Maradona (perhaps better).

Honestly i think robinho is much better than messi in the long run..
Robinhos tricks are much better than messi and robinho plays at a very fast pace and he has alot of stamina.

Well, as impossible as it sounds it could happen. When Manchester United were offered the price for Ronaldo, they were almost forced to sell him. Messi in his form and skill level right now is worth around 150 or 160 million euros. If Madrid offered Barcelona about 180 Million euros, Barcelona would be foolish to decline the offer. Think about it, it's 180 Million euros. With that money, Barcelona would be able to sign: Robben, RVP, Hulk, and Neymar. And what is Messi being paid around now, 400 thousand a week? Imagine Madrid offering him 480,000 or 500,000 a week. It would be hard to decline the offer.
