i have a 98 cutlass. please give good detail and maybe a price range for fixing.

the car will keep turning and not catch, if you know what i am saying. most of the time it is fine an starts fine but once in a while it will start a little weird like it will take a second to catch and will be fine. if i let it sit after trying a few times it will start fine.

When you start it, it will make a loud squealing sound. I'm not sure how much a mechanic would charge, but the part is around $100, and the labor is easy, so it shouldn't be that much to fix. My husband just changed his out, it took him less that an hour. Most mechanics do a free estimate, call around and see what they can do for you. Good luck!

Well, you will get a no crank situation, where basically you will turn and hear somthing like a tick. Thats really the only way to tell without testing, you should leave details on what your car is doing. You can look to spend somthing like 150-300 dollars, not to sure on that car...

Intermittent starting, clicking noise while trying to start. Do not know price range.

It drags or makes a wierd screeching noise,make sure your battery's good.

it slips. costwise,between $250 to $300. good luck
