Melanoma, one of the most hideous forms of cancer and on the rise. From a class II skin lesion, mere mm in depth, cells break off, travel through the body (metastasis) and lodge in major organs where they grow rapidly into extensively invasive tumors.

Melanoma, like many skin cancers, is caused by damage to skin cells by UV radiation from the sun. Unlike other skin cancers, melanoma is aggressive and if not caught and treated in early stages will invariably lead to mestastatic tumors and eventual death. Melanoma is also one of the least curable forms of cancer, thus with its aggressive growth, mestastisis and lack of cures, the morbidity rates are really bad.

I'm relatively young, and I've already had skin cancers surgically removed (in early stage, thankfully!!!), as have many relatives and friend. I had other less fortunate relatives who died from melanoma including my father. From his diagnosis to his death was just over two months -- he had tumors in both lungs, spleen, kidneys, and when those were found, he was already beyond hope. Tumors from mestastisized melanoma.

In other words, my father died because he got too much sun.

Is that definitive enough for you?

Skin cancer will not just come out like any other cancer without iniating it. I have seen several patients who have skin cancer (in fact they have to go Mohs surgery for that) and they are people who enjoys the sun rays...(mostly caucasians who have less melanin to protect them from the sun's radiation).I don't know what proofs you like but hope this helps. God bless!

... are you serious?

This will get you off to a good start for information, and a trip to your local medical library (many hospitals and universities have them) will net you a bucketful of research articles conducted by doctors and cancer researchers that have shown time and time again that UV radiation causes the pinpoint genetic mutations in skin cells that trigger skin cancer.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not, but there is all kinds of research and statistics. You can go to the Center of Disease Control website and they can educate on the thousands of references that prove this. There are just way too many to list, too many to remember.

Well, while you are conducting your research, don't worry. I'm sure it will be alright. How could UV rays, things you cannot see, kill you?

ps: there is no such thing as global warming, and also Iraq definately had WMD's!!
