It's summer, mean temperatures are no different now then they've been for about 5000 years. The Earth is in a cyclical orbit around the sun this orbit puts the earth in closer or distant proximity to the sun over a period of 180,000 years.
Factors effecting temperature:

Solar Orbit
Solar Activity
Geologic processes.

Regional temperatures to some degree are effected by human activity but for the most part this is transcient.

I like how you post this question in two different places. You must be really trying to find an answer...but it isn't volcanoes, those don't make the weather hotter. If anything, in the short term, they will make the weather cooler because the stuff they eject into the atmosphere blocks the sunlight a tiny bit.

Global Warming is real. The Ocean and the atmosphere are hotter than ever. Storms will increase. Almost all of the Great Barrier Reef and Carribean Reef is dead.

Seriously, I wonder how people can ignore global warming when the weather has been the way it has. There was a tornado in my town last week. I live in northern new jersey, and needless to say, we dont ever get tornadoes.
