MySpace itself can't damage your computer. What will damage your computer is if you are running unpatched software and have a habit of clicking links then you can get spyware or viruses from other sites that somebody links to from myspace. If you don't update your PC and don't have anti-virus and anti-spyware protection you'll get infected pretty much by just browing the internet. A lot of people that blame sites for damaging their computer are making the assumption based on them being at myspace soon before the problems began.

Its probably just a rumor. I go on myspace almost everyday and Ive never had any problems. Also, other people I know havent either. This rumor was probably started by someone who sees only bad in myspace.

If you have a slow or old computer like I do, it may cause it to freeze and you'll have to restart. Plus, there are a lot of viruses on the site, so I wouldn't recommend it.

it cant mess up ur computer, just maybe your life. if u download the myspace IM, yes it can, its spyware and addware
