A lot of people will easily say its global warming, and just as many (i've noticed most times its Americans) will say its just a natural pattern, or they will be quick to remind the rest of us that its July!
Frankly I'm up Canada, and we've been sweating our b@lls off!! There is a heat wave in Europe right now, and a lot of strom/tsunami activity in the pacific (not to mention a lot of thunderstorms/lighting in western Canada). If the amount of pollution that we have added to the Earth's atmosphere in the past 150 years isn't causing global warming as many (Americans) say, then is there any negative effect that this pollution has? Are you saying its perfectly safe for all of us to keep driving SUV's? Most of the world wants Kyoto Protocol..time to lead the way U.S. .

Actually volcanoes would cool the atmosphere down, not warm it up. Due to the ash they put in the air, the ash absorbs and/or reflects sunlight causing tempatures to go down. Now the heat is assocated with a natural cycle the Earth undergoes every so often, but it is thought by quite a few scientist that the increased CO2 emmissons are causeing this cycle to speed up.

depends on where the volcanoes are at, you realize of course that if its the volcanoes... you've blown are very large hole in the global warming arguments...hehe.
Personally, unless there are some near you its just the weather patterns. In my area its typical to slightly cooler at night.

Well, it is the middle of Summer, entering into what is usually the hottest part. The past few summers have been relatively cool, this is just normal.

I'm not sure it has anything to do with volcanoes.
Think global warming. Maybe it is time to consider signing the Kyoto protocol...
