If your withholding information so they draw an improper conclusion about a person then this is (LYING) by Obmission. this can be just as hurtful as lying to their face if they draw an improper understanding based on your (version) of the story.
BUT witholding secrets because it's not your place to share the information is tricky. your hubby should be the one person you share info with. ( but not every pertanant detail of your life. but FYI trust breeds trust as the saying goes.
God bless

My husband says the same thing! Yes, if I screw around and don't tell him, it's lying. But, who I talk to and/or what I talk about is not lying because I don't tell him. My husband gets so mad if I don't tell him something and I tell him that he didn't ask. He thinks he has to be specific with his questions, which he does sometimes, to know EVERYTHING! I feel that not telling is NOT lying.

If you are intentionally leaving out information so that they don't know the whole truth, then yes, it is the same as lying. You just lied using the truth. If you just didn't think it was pertinent, or forgot, then no, it is not.

It relies upon on what the lie is like if I ask: Q: have you ever performed some thing with yet another female even as we were courting? A(lie): uh... no Than under no circumstances might want to forgive him. If it changed into: Q: What grade did you get in ELA? A(lie): ninety 8 that would want to slide

No it isn't lying but it is being untruthful. Honesty is the best policy. Why would you keep something from your loved one?

It depends on what you are not telling.. If you didn't tell him what you had for lunch, that is not deception. If you didn't tell him that you kissed another man, that is deception.. It just depends on the situation.
