I have asthma, so it's hard for me to run a lot at one time. During conditioning and open gym, we have to run four laps around the HUGE track. I have a hard time with it, but my Coach really likes running! I need to stay in shape, and I excercise alot...but I need some advice on how to get, and stay, in shape during the summer, and maybe even improve my running skills? Please help, I'm frustrated, my Coach is frustrated...I need some advice!

**Thnx a Milion ahead of time**

Try circuit training. Set up stations of jumping rope, push-ups, mountain climbers, abs on an exercise ball, suicides, tricep dips.
Stay at each station for at least 3-4 min. take about a 2 minute break in between. Try to get at least 30 min. of exercise time in. You can change the exercises so you don't get bored.

I don't have asthma, but my chest hurts whenever I run for around 4 laps. I have allergies and trouble breathing, so here's some advice: Martial Arts. Martial Arts teaches you how to breath and pace yourself all while learning self-defense and strenghtening your body. I self-train and use it to keep weight off as well, but please don't learn it hoping just to beat someone up or lose a bunch of weight.

If that doesn't work, buy weights and play some practice volleyball with them on.

Swimming is great and fun exercise. I also would recommend bike rides and rollerblading.

Each of these sports are fun and will act as good muscle toners and help build build your stamina.

Also, try things like Frisbee throwing in the water (preferable the beach). It's another fun way to tone.

Soccer and volleyball.

Just have fun this summer! Stay active everyday.
