I just barely started listening to stone sour, and i noticed that they sound a lot like slipknot, i was wondering if they had the same lead singer? and if so is slipknot broken up? and also wtf does 30/30 150 mean? plz help.

Stone Sour is a hard rock, heavy metal band formed by Corey Taylor, who is famous for being the vocalist for the band Slipknot.
The band disbanded when Taylor left in 1997 to join Slipknot. The band was thought to be over, but, in 2000, Josh Rand approached Taylor with songs he had been working on.
They worked together for a year and a half writing songs. The band reformed in 2002 with the original line up and they recorded their self-titled first album in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The band went back into the studio in January of 2006 to begin work on the follow-up to the first record, which will hit shelves on July 31st in the UK and August 1st in the US.
The 30/30 150 is in reference to a .30-30 caliber gun with a 150 grain round (bullet).

Stone sour lead singer is Corey Taylor from Slipknot. To be honest I have heard multiple times over the years that they are breaking up, it hasn't materialised yet. Have to remember that various different people from Slipknot have gone off to two notable side projects before returning to the band; drummer joey jordison has played in the murderdolls while Taylor and guitarist Jim Root are now both in Stone Sour.
Several people have mentioned before now that 30/30 150 means something along the lines of a 30/30 calibre rifle with a 150 grain round, and that seems to fit quite well :-)

Yeah Corey Taylor is the singer, and he is the lead singer of both bands, Slipknot and Stone Sour. Neither of them are broken up.
Yeah I find that I'm so used to him singing with his mask on, and the mask suits his voice, but when I see him singing without a mask, it's hard to match the voice with the appearance since Slipknot is, I think, more popular than Stone Sour.

Slipknot is not broken up. Corey Taylor is the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour and I do believe he is doing some solo work as well
