So guessing by your avatar you're a guy....ok, so girls love flattery. As in, thoughtful gifts or comments really show them you care. Like one guy on here said he wanted to get his gf roses, but he didn't have enough money, so he went online, looked up a pattern for origami roses, and made some for her. I can guarantee she would love something like that. Since you're only twelve, you shouldn't have to worry about spending lots of money, remember that it's the thought that counts. Also, if you're going to compliment a girl on her looks, instead of saying something like "You're so hot", try something like, "You look beautiful" or "You shine so brightly you light up a room". Sounds corny but it works. Like her for who she is inside and out, for her goods, bads, and uglies, and you'll do fine. Good luck!! =)

My best tip for a 12 year old is to wait until you are 15 or 16 years old. You're way too young for dating!!

I have a 13yr old son and an 11yr old daughter. I am going to tell you the same thing that I told them. You are too young to worry about dating. You are not to young to want to and it is very normal for you to start noticing the opposite sex. However, you have many, many years ahead of you to worry! It doesn't get easier as you get older. Try to make friends first, believe it or not, some of your best dates can be with the friends that you make. Don't worry about it, you'll figure things out on your own! Good luck!!!

12 is too young. I know that you probably don't want to hear that, but it is true. PLEASE wait until you are older. at least 16. You have a lot of growing and learning to do before you will be ready for the dating arena.

Milk, juice or koolaid, cookies, watch cartoons or animated videos , and make sure your mommy is there the whole time.
Or ask your parents to take you to Chuck E Cheese or Gameworks....

Yes, don't! Please. Whatever happened to dolls/barbies, GI Joe, board games, school, homework? Wait until your at least 16, enjoy your childhood. You can date for the next 80 years of your life.

i wish you would wait until you were older...but if you must...just don't get too emotionally involved and if you like a girl, just tell her and ask her out to a movie or something similar...good luck, but it's ok if you wait...i don't date yet and i'm a teen
