Why do they always serve peanuts in airplanes?

I usually get pretzels now. I guess there are too many people with allergies or something. Peanuts make you feel pretty full pretty fast, they are small so if you eat them one at a time it takes you awhile to finish the little bag (in theory), they are cheap, and the salt.

Actually, I think that is changing. A lot of people have peanut allergies, and I think peanuts are increasingly being replaced by pretzels and peanut-free snack mixes.
Good news, if you don't like peanuts in airplanes!

The deal is this... you pay a huge amount of money to fly on their deathrap with wings in exchange they give you the shaft and a packet of peanuts... ok, thats the deal pretty much a we win, you lose kind of deal.
someone saw on a the back one a warning it said... Warning may contain nuts... No? Really?

They don't serve peanuts anymore because so many people are allergic to them.

The 'deal' is: you pay for a ticket, they give you some food and drink (as well as moving you from A to B).
Because we are fundamentally primates, peanuts are employed to pacify us.

I agree with this q...if its not peanuts its those horrible cheese flavour shape things, that you only eat coz there's nothingelse
