Successfully handling rejection and "dis-enchantment" is the ultimate reflection of maturity, not, of course, success in meeting your goals.
But if you look back on the real success stories of the past 3 centuries, you come to find out that the way that they handled failures, - led them to their success(es).
Don't despise the small things...

It comes every day, Sir Knight. It beats us down until we think we can never get up again. Rejection helps to develop our character, it makes us stronger. Think of the spoiled rich brat you knew growing up - he never had to work for anything he had, and did he appreciate anything at all? No - he just trashed the nice stuff and threw away things that were wonderful, including relationships. That's what happens when people don't have to fight through adversity to achieve their goals or to develop a love or to become really, really good at something. Hang in there, and just keep fighting. A break will come, and you will be a better man for having gone through what you're battling right now.

Rejection comes in gobs and gobs at times. It works like this. You try and you fail and you try and you fail. But eventually, you win. At times it feels as though the entire universe is conspiring against you. The universe does that to everybody. It doesn't single any particular person out. But then it breaks. Do I ever feel discouraged? Heck yes. Everything cannot stay bad or good forever. If things are good, they're gonna get bad. If things are bad, they are gonna get good. It's the ying and yang of life we all go through. I tell myself that I can handle it. I look at the times when things were really bleak, and I realize that it didn't stay that way. It can't. That saves me getting despondent.

Many people are rejected a lot of times before their big break (that goes for the girl, the career, and all other interests). Some of our best actors were really poor until they got a break (also musicians, artists, and regular people).
Rejection actually builds us to be stronger people. It won't go on forever, so don't worry so much. I wish you a lot of luck.

You're going to experience rejection every day of your life in one form or another. Learn to deal with it, manage it, and live with it. Focusing on your goals is important, but understanding that they might never materialize is all part of life.
Colonel Sanders of Kentucky Chicken fame failed over and over again until he 'got it right' as a senior citizen. J.C. Penney was bankrupt multiple times before finally founding his chain of successful department stores in his later years. Henry Ford was almost 50 before he finally succeeded with his automobile dreams. In fact, the only people who have never failed are people who've never tried anything. Be a dreamer, kid!

Rejection comes every day!
Feeling like you can't handle it any more? Join the club. Maybe some of us are just born losers - or rejects!

everyone faces rejection, everyone gets discouraged because of it ........but not everyone can overcome rejection.....that's why we all have bums and suicides.......i have a boyfriend, that i have rejected many times, but i still love him, and he still wants to give up, but i tell him if he gives up, what then? your still here and then what, you gotta move , if its not working there, move where it WILL, that's what we did, and it took 4 years and my boyfriend just thought it would never happen for him, but its happening because he kept his head up with the help of family and friends, you got to have help sometimes even when you don't want it

Hey kid, no-one ever said life was going to be easy. I'm sorry you're feeling so discouraged. Remember what Winston Churchill once said "Never, never, never give up!"

rejection does come often, and, yeah, it can be very discouraging.
but, with God's help, you'll get there and it will be so much more meaningful and appreciated once you do.
