I'm not due until August 21 and my doctor said I could be educed anytime after August 10. I'm torn I'm ready to have her but I'm worried about being educed. What should I do?

I was induced and had no problems with it. However, the pain from the meds they induce with can be worse than natural. Some will deny that, but my doctor told me and after doing research, found it to be true. If the baby is ready and the doctor says it's safe to induce, go for it. Nothing they use to speed the process will endanger your baby.

If your not due until the 21st at least wait until then. I know it gets hard toward the end but the longer you baby stays in there the healthier she will be. 2 weeks after your due date is when there should be talk about inducing because at that point the white lining around the baby starts to disapear which protects the babies skin from the amniotic fluid.

Oh sweety its easier to be enduced than in labor for two and half days. All enducing does is make your water break and you dialate faster so you can have your baby. Im 17 weeks pregnant and Im not due till Jan. 2 but my mom had to be enduced with both me and my brother and it is easier. Sometimes doctors also tr enducing to make sure you can have your baby naturally, and if you cant then you have to have secarean or C-section. If you want to know more look on babycenter.com

Inducing is safe, I've had it done...but why would your doctor want to induce you before giving you a chance to go into spontaneous labor? I'd go at least to my due date, unless the baby is very large and waiting could keep you from having it vaginally.

I thought it was fine, because I knew when I would have my baby. Why wont your doctor let you go to your due date? Anyway, dont be scared about being induced. It is safe and you will be fine.

Induced is not that big of a deal just go with it and then youll have your daughter smiling up at you and it wont matter if you were induced or not
