I have had Limewire for more than a year on my computer and have had no major slowdowns or screwups. The thing is- if you run like the yahoo spyware test, it will pick up Limewire- be careful not to erase any of its components.

uhh yah totoally i have norton anti-virus 2005 and uhh well i have gotten infectionsfrom programs onlyu NOT FROM MUSIC but luckily norton audo protect uses bloodhound so it stops and eaases the virus so yah ur like 95% safe BUT 20% of the times i get infected which aren t very much like 2 a month about 20% of the tim ein a whole 5 months nav cant stop the virus soo all u do is just dlete the file and empty recycle bin or just disconnect ut internet do a quick scan of norton antivirus and delte it or quarantine it and yah but basicly theres nothin to be afraid of since limewires music isnt really infected

Scan the files before opening them. Even if you have antivirus software, you have to scan the files. If you don't, you could open a file with a virus in it and not know it.

I don't use LimeWire, but this is true for all P2P (peer-to-peer) programs.

whats up I easily have nortons and limewire and an ipod and that i have not had any issues in any way with it. yet, you cant have very many courses open directly once you've limewire open because it slows your pc down somewhat.

Yes. Just scan files for viruses. To deal with speed issues, don't let others share files with you. Limewire is pretty fun..
