T-Mobile is the best, and has the proof to show it. T-Mobile has earned the JD Powers best in customer satisfaction award three years in a row, and is currently at the top for the fourth year. Also, the best overall Cell-site coverage and the best price on rate plans (the GET MORE guarantee). Go to www.t-mobile.com. There is a coverage map where you can plug in your address and get what your coverage is, you can choose a rate plan and phone on the web, and even activate your account online. If you prefer the personal touch, you can call 1-800-TMOBILE, or you can put your address into the store locator search for the nearest location. On a side note, I have found that Nokia phones are awesome at getting good signal in fair areas of coverage.

It really depends on if you want a prepaid phone or a plan phone.

There are lots of cell phones out there, and some are better than others. If you are going for a cell phone that is prepaid- I would suggest Net10- they have the best rates that I have seen so far. I think that prepaid cell phones are for those who really only would need it for emergencies or quick calls.

If you are thinking more in the lines of a phone with a monthly plan, I would say start with your local phone company. Some, like Qwest, offer bundle deals, and you can get a cell plan that is included on your home phone bill. Sometimes the savings can be great. If you are thinking of a well known plan- maybe T-Mobile or Sprint would be good ideas. Check around to some of the sites and compare plans.

If you've been with TMobile long enough and your contract is up for renewal - they'll give you a free one. They usually give you whatever they'd give a new customer for free so long as you sign a 2-year agreement. What kind of things are you looking for in a phone?? Music? Pictures? Bluetooth?

go to the net, do the search for whatever people use the most in your area, ask a LOT LOT LOT of people what they have, ask for like DAYS !!! what they have, then search those phone companys and you need to search the area codes, or the zip codes, you will see the companies web sites do a thing called "coverage search"; this will tell you what to expect; then, (you're not ready yet, then, ....go back out there, my child, then go back out and ask MORE MORE people if they have ...(such and such company) and what they think of it-
