When I want to find out who sings a particular song and know some of the lyrics, I type in a few of the words then type lyrics afterwards in search engines like Yahoo! and Google.

For example, if i were talking about Sugar, We're Going Down by Fall Out Boy, but I didn't know what it was called or who it was by, I'd type:

"the friction in your jeans" lyrics

You should be able to get what you're looking for ;-]

Yup, Google does it. Just put the lyrics, in order, in quotes. And if it is a really common saying it helps to put the word 'lyric' out side of the quotes so that it can search through all the lyrics sites for you.

I think the best site is Gracenote. There are several options in looking up a song ~ either by artist, disc or song. By marking the song box and just typing in a few words it will produce all songs with those words in them. www.gracenote.com I have found it to be very user friendly.

Use any search engine, and use quotation marks...i.e. "insert lyrics here."
