Possibly it has to do with a blatant disregard for International law, buddying up to the West who seeks to have another Crusade or at least a total robbery of the region's resource control. Possibly it was back in 1967 where they could have chosen peace but instead decided to be greedy and attack thier neighbors repeatedly. Perhaps it is the brutal occupation of Palestinian land, the humilating checkpoints. Perhaps it is that they openly and proudly state that they do not think Palestinians as a people are even remotely equal to them as far as human life is concerned.
Perhaps it is the demolition of people's homes, collective punishment against people who simply want to work and to raise a family, and have no part whatsoever with the political violence that the IMF and Hamas fighters engage in, while they are just trying to live?
The US citizens should call on the US government to stop supporting Israel for thier sake and ours. Israel is a lame duck, thier policies are lies.

You raised a basic point but this time they are enjoying the extreme power and they think that they will be able to run the the world according to their own choice but very sonn they would know that bullet is not the answer of every question.

"a blatant disregard for International law" ... See UN Charter, Chapter 7, Article 51. Even many Arab/Muslim states have said that HezBULLie has gone too far.

"buddying up to the West who seeks to have another Crusade or at least a total robbery of the region's resource control" ... Just your misguided opinion.

"Possibly it was back in 1967 where they could have chosen peace but instead decided to be greedy and attack thier neighbors repeatedly." ... There was always a level of attacks on Israel by its 'peaceful' neighbors. See UN Chater reference again.

"Perhaps it is the brutal occupation of Palestinian land, the humilating checkpoints." ... When was the last time that you flew on an airline in the US (as I suppose most other countries as well)? Did you feel humiliated? Or were you angry that they wouldn't let you carry a bomb or gun on board? THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SUICIDE BOMBERS WHO BLOW UP MUSLIMS AS WELL AS JEWS. Perhaps it's this that got Israel mad.

"Perhaps it is that they openly and proudly state that they do not think Palestinians as a people are even remotely equal to them as far as human life is concerned." Just look at the HAM-AZS charter. It doesn't acknowledge Israel's right to exist. I'd say that's pretty low-class myself.

"Perhaps it is the demolition of people's homes, collective punishment against people who simply want to work and to raise a family" ... See Suicide bombings and random shellings from Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon. THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SUICIDE BOMBERS and removing known and possible hide-outs.

"and have no part whatsoever with the political violence that the IMF and Hamas fighters engage in, while they are just trying to live?" ... And just who is it who dances in the streets when an Israeli or westerner is killed? And who elected HAM-AZS to govern Gaza?

"The US citizens should call on the US government to stop supporting Israel for thier sake and ours." ... US citizens (by and large) consider HAM-AZS and HezBULLie to be allied with the thought process that took down the WTC.

"Israel is a lame duck," ... That duck has teeth. Be careful where you put your finger.

"thier policies are lies." ... As if almost everything you've said is Allah's honest truth.

Probably they have asked themselves that. And I'm sure that the answer they come up with every time is: Who cares?!

Let's slip into fantasy for a moment and imagine that the US was backing Palestine. Would the outcry against Palestine be as great as the current outcry against Israel if, all things being the exact same except for our support, Palestine continued to do the same things they have been doing for the past 30 years? Look at the history of the region from another perspective and see if your position changes. If it doesn't, that means you don't actually respect the sovereignty of nations. You just don't like America's alliances. And that makes you a mo.

Israelies are democratic. They are the only democratic nation on that side of the middle east. The other democratic country on the verge of war is in Eastern Europe and borders with Iraq. Iraq threatens them all the time. That country is Azerbajan. Only Azerbajan is primarily Muslim; whereas, Israel is primarily Jewish. Palestinians are in denial that there is such a country as Israel. I have worked with all these people and all of them are intelligent in their own right but are stubborn about religion and politics. It is going to take a peace treaty that they are all willing to agree to.

"Have Israelis ever asked themselves why it is that all thier neighbors and more want to destroy it?"

Hey, why ask when the Israelis are told every day by Hezbollah and Hamas and the other Jihadis. It's in the Koran.

No, that isn't it.....otherwise when the UN gave them the land they are on......it wouldn't have started....they have never had a peaceful year since Israel was created.......well, maybe the first year....but, because of the west...they can defend themselves...and that is good....whether you think so or not
