Maybe try getting a pet. A dog is good for socializing. Take it for a walk and you meet lots of other people, other dog lovers.
Either that or get out and join a gym or something where you can meet other people. If you go at the same time everyday you will get to know other people who also go at those same times.
Good luck!

Find a good church group. That's what i did. Even if you dont believe in God, or have any faith at all, you are sure to meet a lot ogf good people. Most churches have bi-wekly activities, and many outing events. Hey, whats the worst that could happen? You meet no one, decide to stop going, and are back where you started. You got nothing to lose man! Give it a try.
God bless, and good luck.

It's hard making a transition to a new location. It's even harder to cultivate new relationships. That takes work! It sounds like you are a little overwhelmed by the newness of everything. You sound like a well adjusted person. I bet you'll be making new friends before too long.

Bored. Life changes are hard, time will fix it. If all else fails joing a group or volunteer somewhere you really believe in. That will expose you to other people with similar likes.

There's medication for that - unfortunately, it's illegal -
ask around your work place - you'll be greatly surprised at
the results.
Ok, just kidding.
Or am I ?!!
