Go see click. It was very funny and actually had some emotional parts as well. We really enjoyed that. Pirates was good as well if you can deal with the fact that it does not end and keeps you hanging. Cars is cute but of course it is a kids movie and very predictable but that Mater is funny!

I second the notion of hiring starving actors. Your local university is choke full of them. If you pay enough, you could also hire a costume designer, lighting designer with equipment, a sound designer, a stage manager, and a set designer to have a full blown ritzy show in your parlor. Perferably something absurb, to help you obtain a better grasp on the human condition.
