We just built a house in the woods and I went out to water my dog when I spotted what looked like a pile of brown dog fur. I'm thinking my dog's gone mad and pulled a bunch of hair out, but when I reached down to pick it up, the whole pile moved! It was hundreds of harvestmen or "Daddy Long-Legs"! I absolutely freaked out! Then today, I was sweeping off the porch and saw another HUGE pile of them in the transom above the front door! How do you get rid of these nasty things?

I am very fearful of spiders, but the daddy long legs is the most harmless spider of all spiders. Their mouths are not big enough to bite us, they eat insects, and they do not build webs. If your going to have spiders, they are the best ones to have. They are probably mating and when they are done, they will not group as you see them now.

Oh no, don't kill them! =( Yeah they can be a pest, they're so creepy and yuck. Spraying the corners of your apartment with a mixture of coconut oil and vinegar is a great way to keep them away. You can also but this stuff called citronella, which repels spiders and other nasty insects. good luck =)

Avoid bug spray because it can be toxic to you. Use good old fashion mixture of vinegar and water. Bugs hate it and will go away. I use it for spiders in my room.

Use a Con-o-Bear trap. Found at hardware stores everywhere.

i saw one in our basement i got soooo freaked out . it had the longest legs on earth i was like omg omg omg forever then i grabbed my bros shoes and hit it . call an extermanator.

Buy some poison, but dont squish them , they stink.

I wouldn't want to harm these useful spiders, as they are the good kind...Watch them...They are fun to watch, and they tickle if they walk on you...
