I think all the leaders of these nations need to sit with Bill Clinton at a large round table start rolling joints. They smoke they, they laugh become friends everyone eats and world peace is achieved. Plus worst case stop the killing for a few days as they will all be to high to fight.
Unfortunately this is not piratical and the situation is too far gone to have a solution, all we can do is pray it gets better with out too many more people loosing there lives.

AS CRUEL AS IT MAY SOUND- I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A SOLUTION, THE MIDDLE EAST HAS ENDURED HUNDREDS OF YEARS OF TURMOIL. THE ONLY SOLUTION I SEE IS TURNING THE PLACE INTO A SANDBOX, AFTER ALL THE INNOCENT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN REMOVED OFCOURSE.

This will probably be your most unpopular answer, but here goes.
As unpopular as the present course seems to be, it's about the only one there is. Like it or not, we can't turn our backs and allow terrorist groups like Hezbollah continue to hold countries hostage - as Hussein did Iraq, and the current regime in Iran is doing, among others.
With Syria and Iran directly supporting them..and with China supporting them indirectly, Hezbollah is very dangerous. With North Korea watching to see what we will do, and China watching as well it is very important that we continue to appear strong.
People think that America wants world domination, but we don't. What we really want is continued democracy in our own country. And with communist countries such as China around who really DO want world domination, the only way to secure our own freedom is to spread democracy anywhere and everywhere that we can. There was a cost to the people who fought for and won democracy in this country, and there will be cost to any country who attempts to win democracy for themselves - that's inevitable.
(I told you this wasn't going to be a popular answer....)

Destroy Hezbollah and and Hamas, get Syria to join the international community and Isolate Iran or bomb them if need be.
