trying to stop a web page from loading?

I use mozilla-firefox. in most cases I can stop a web page from loading by hitting the stop button. Some pages will not allow me to do that. Hitting close or escape will not work either. Is there another way?

You could X out of that tab (close it) and problem solved.

ctrl+alt+del

terminate the program
(end it in task manager)
