there's a lot more there than the Baha'i World Center.

It is a major port for the Israeli Navy, as well as for sea import and sea tourists.

It has a major oil refinery.

It has a significant industrial district, and the largest business park in Israel.

It is a major tourist destination.

It has the best Jewish/Arab relations of any major town in Israel.

As a Baha'i, I don't think we're a target in this mess.

Haifa happens to be a convenient target with many, many people other than Baha'is.

Of course, I suppose anyone could find a reason for any stupid war.
Get them Baha'is!
Down with all blonds!
Burn the US flag!

Fact is, whatever reason they babble at the press or outsiders, the reason for any war has always been straight up hate.

Can't we all just get along?
(sorry, just had an urge to say it.)

Yes, they attack whichever city is closest! There is no real target on the military. And even so- what reason would they- a terrorist group have to destroy a country which is trying to live peacefully and is in the regulations of the UN>?

Unfortunately it's also Israel's 3rd largest city and well within the range of Hezbollah's rockets so they attack it frequently.
