Does it not work now? You always need to make sure that the switch on the back of the power supply is set to the correct voltage that you are going to be using. If your computer doesnt turn on anymore, you should try buying and installing a new power supply. You can pick one up on Ebay for $15-$30. Dont listen to ACSMAN, it isnt "much easier to buy a new computer" hes just saying that because he wants you to buy from him. The power supply hookup is pretty simple, just plug the connectors into the same connections that the old ones were in. If the connector fits, its the right one, simple as that. All you have to do is open the case, unhook the power connections( they just snap on) and unscrew a few screws to get the power supply out.
Dont get a new computer, try just replacing the power supply

I assume you advise 220V plug that you favor to regulate to 110V. And by skill of asking that query interior the way that you probably did, I advise that you do call an electrician. on the different hand - and reckoning on how the hollow is stressed - At your panel will be a 220V (double-pole) breaker. In that breaker will be both a White and a Black twine (3-twine, 220V - warm/warm + floor), or a red and a Black twine (4-twine 220V, warm/warm + impartial (white) + floor). What you favor to be left with is 3-twine, 110V - warm + impartial + floor. you'll favor to exhibit off the breaker interior the panel and disconnect the wires to it, both easily one of them. installation a sparkling unmarried-pole breaker in an empty slot, or if there are none, get rid of the 220 breaker and installation a unmarried pole + a sparkling conceal (no holes licensed). connect the _BLACK_ twine to this breaker. If the different twine replaced into white, you favor to connect that to the impartial Buss. If the different twine replaced into red, cap it with an licensed twine-nut and fold it lower back into the panel out of ways of something. ensure that both the white and floor wires from that line are precise linked to the impartial Buss. at the different end, replace the receptacle with the superb 110V unit, at the same time with the floor per code. installation the proper conceal. turn on the breaker and _USE A TESTER_ to ensure to bought it excellent on the receptacle. If _any_ of this can provide you the slightest pause, employ an electrician. Burns are not any thrilling, and shortage of life is a lot less so. now to not instruct a fireplace bringing down your position. As to the Princeton pupils - both they're very, very tiny (commonly the case because it takes position), or the elementary bulb ought to be really great. both way, they received't be tender. And persons from Cal Tech may purely recognize the perception - not the lively area of the workout.

Is your puter working? Is there a smell of burnt insulation?
Have you turned it on since then? It's not ruined if you didn't put 220 across the power supply...
If you didn't have 220 plugged in, just the switch in the back, put it back to 110 and try it..

You should go back to pencil and paper....
just HOW did you manage to plug a 110 plug into a 220 socket? they are not the same...
and if you wired it up... with a new plug... then you deserve to be without a computer.

1)Just open your pc and check if you are lucky enough to find one or more fuses which need(s) to be replaced !
2) Once point 1) is done, try again on 110V .Lucky or not ?
3) If not, check if the internal transfo( 110-->12V ) is working or has to be changed !
Good luck and be carefull , next time !
