About 300 dollars. You should have it done when your Civic hits about 60,000 miles. You can't detect wearing on a timing belt but if it breaks you're looking at about a 3,000 repair job.

300 bucks without a water pump replacement. Its 3 hours labor plus the belt.

depending on the year and how the belt is driven it could be from $150.00 to $500.00
