I am looking for a retail store that specializes in gourmet, premade, ready-to-eat meals that I can pick-up on my way home from the office for the day or for the week.

I know that most grocery stores have premade meals and some of the high-end grocery stores, such as Whole Foods, offer some premade meals but I recently found "DreamDinners" which lets you schedule time to go and COOK meals for the entire week in 2 hours. This is great but I don't have time for that. I also don't want to order something via catalog or the Internet to be shipped to me since I don't trust something I can't see or taste with my own eyes.

This made me wonder if there are any stores that specialize in nothing but gourmet, 4-star premade meals that I can visit. If anyone knows of any stores like this in their country, state or town, please let me know.

Try Eatzi's. Not only do they have gourmet, premade meals that you can warm up but they also make fresh sandwiches and salads. You can select cuts of meat and they will grill it for you while you wait. A large bakery supplies everything from baguettes to tarts. Great wine selection as well. I HIGHLY recommend it.

(Note-extremely busy during lunch/dinner hours)

Why dont you hire a personal chef since you only desire one meal a day ,the chef can make 5 meals up and place them in your fridge or freezer for a very reasonable price. you can tell him what to cook or he can use his own ideas....I have used this service when I had to go to the hospital and that way I knew my husband had good meals while I was away. They are listed on line and in the phone book.

Here is a store in California. http://www.wallysfoodco.com/

For the price you may pay for something like this it may be worth while to hire a chef or nutritionist that would cook the meals personally for you.

Some chain restaurants like Applebees have services that allow you to order meals and pick it up on the go.
