No. I think he will reappear in a later book.

No, I don't believe he died.
Its too absurd that Dumbledore (being the greatest and wisest wizard alive) would keep defending and trusting Snape, in spite of all the evidence against him, only to have him betray him at the last moment.
And the sites that 'Liz' gave out are really good. They hold all the key clues that prove Dumbledore did not die.

I think not. I suspect that Snape will prove to be an unknown hero after all, and if I had to guess at one major character's death in Bk. 7, it would be a self-sacrificial death of Snape, which somehow will enable Harry to overcome Voldemort and restore Dumbledore.
Dumbledore and Snape will turn out to represent the two sources of wisdom for Harry, the bright flaming wisdom and the dark, shadowy wisdom (or wiliness, or shrewdness). Harry has to see the value of both. After all, the "savior's" followers have to be wise as serpents as well as harmless as doves.

No. I think he was protected like Harry was by old magic that Lord Voldemort thinks is not as powerful as evil magic. I also think that the bartender at the Hogshead in Hogsmeade is Dumbledore's brother, Aberforthe.

yes JK killed him off because in the last book, Harry has to fight Voldemort alone.
Voldemort is afraid of Dumbledore and with Dumbledore out of the picture, there is no strong wizard that can stand up to Voldemort, it will be Harry's fight.

Yes, he did, because Harry will have to be completely alone in order to face Voldemort. I have wondered if perhaps his ghost will return to help...or if the new portrait in his office will be able to give any insights...and also if Harry can continue to view Dumbledore's memories in the Pensieve.

Honestly I'm no longer sure. At first I was totally ready to chuck the book into the fire and swear them off for good, believing he was indeed "you know what". Then I checked out this website, see below, and found alot of really good theories that could prove that he didn't "you know what". I hope he isn't, at least not completely absent from the seventh book and from Harry's search, but who knows other than JK?

Die? Heck, no. What happened in the room was just pedantic and WAYYYY to easy for someone of Dumledores Stature and age to plan for! I think he's hiding out somewhere until book 7, when he can "SURPRISE" Voldemort and destroy him now that he's "more mortal." After all, until the other "items" are destroyed holding the pieces of his (Voldemort) soul, he can always return.

I think he did because nobody can escape Avada Kedavra, no matter how powerful a wizard is (except for Harry of course). A lot of people think he will come back in the 7th book though. Check out my Harry Potter question and feel free to answer on what your thoughts are about it.

sadly, i think its true. i mean, it would just make us want to love harry even more. besides, i think its part of harry's character, something that makes him so strong is to lose his loved ones. another thing is that since dumbledore is gone, it will be harder to defeat voldemort, that adds more story.
