im scared to go to a school dance, well, because i cant dance. i dont want to make a fool of myself in front of my boyfriend because i dont know how to dance!! give me tips plz

Just because its a "dance" doesnt mean that everyone there will be dancing. Alot of the dances i have been to have tables to the side where you can sit down and just talk and sometimes other activities to do if you dont dance. Just go and have a good time dont worry about what other people think at all. Remember you can leave whenever you want also.

I can't dance either, in fact barely anyone that goes to school dances can. At the beginning there will be a few people break dancing, but they'll only last a few songs. Eventually everyone just gets in a huge mass in the middle of the dance floor and jumps around. There's no room to really do anything fancy, so don't worry about making a fool of yourself, kuz you won't. Just sway with the beat and do whatever comes into your head, kuz that's all anyone else does.

Take a dance class or watch some music videos and try to imitate the moves while looking into a mirror.

i cant dance or i dont think that i can plus half the people out there cant dance either just ask a friend that can dance to teach you thats how i learned to dance. be confident

tell him...if he's really your boyfriend and he really does care about you than he shouldn't make fun of you...and tips on dancing..listen to the music watch how the others around you are dancing and then do what their doing and you'll blend right in :-)

aww its ok. don't be scared. i think that you should talk to one of your closest girl friends that do know how to dance and tell them about it. ask them for help. there's not much to dancing as a teenager. its really like all just moving your hips and butt. lol. i'm sure one of your best friends will help you out. after all, thats what they are for! =D good luck!!

part of the fun of school dances is looking stupid while doing it. it's not like grease where every one kows the same steps. just dance like you would at home with your gurls being silly and every one will catch on. if you laugh at u first. when the other do it they will be joining you
