Freedom is a slogan, and like any slogan, if you repeat it enough, you will start to believe it. The US isn't any more free than any other western democratic country. In fact, since it is a republic rather than a true democracy, US citizens actually have less control over their government than other countries like GB or Canada.
(I'm sure to get some flame responses for this)

In America, we get to say whatever we want, just as long as it doesn't offend anyone. Of course, Americans are so easily offended that just about anything you say will indeed offend someone. In the end, it's safer just to keep your mouth shut.
America is only free in theory.
But it's good to know that we'll do anything to protect our theoretical "freedom", like going to other countries and bombing the shiit out of the locals. Why do we do it? It's really the only way we can ensure our "freedom". After all, if we don't have the freedom to bomb the shiit out of other countries, we've got nothing.
Freedom starts with bombing people. That's the price we must pay. Freedom isn't free and bombs aren't cheap.
And "Mrknositall" below me is a commie slug. He should be tried for treason and executed for writing crap like that.
"HOOKS" makes a great point. We ARE one nation under GOD. If you don't believe it, we'll have you killed or we'll kill you ourselves!
GOD BLESS AMERICA & THEORETICAL FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does the pursuit of liberty really mean? What is liberty? In America you can choose your own destiny. Arnold Schwarzenegger came here a poor boy from Austria and is now a movie star and Governor of California. Of course, you can also be a drug addict living on some street in San Francisco. Liberty is the pursuit of something that makes you happy, to fulfill your wildest dreams. Do what ever you like, as long as it is legal, of course.

America is free because of all our men and women that have put their life on the line to make sure we enjoy the freedom that we do. We have freedom of speech, religion, the right to vote for our leaders, even if we don't agree with them all the time,we have the right to complain, education, just so many things. And most importantly we are ONE NATION UNDER GOD!!!!!!
Thanks for asking.

Freedom is not free. The rights, privileges, and freedoms with which this country is blessed come at the cost of hundreds of millions of lives. Americans are truly blessed. Unfortunately, we are trampling those blessings with boots covered in sin, disrespect for those who gave their lives, and with apathy for those who continue to give their lives.

The liberals use most of their time bashing our government and sticking up for the enemy, they say it's because they are educated and open minded, plus you need to have a dislike for Christians and Jews.
