I'm an American student who will be pursuing her Master's degree in Scotland in the field of linguistics. According to my calculations, I'm still US$5,000 short. Where can I get the money?

i don't know if this would apply to you, and it may be more of a commitment than you are looking. but have you considered fullbright scholarship?

i have linguistic friends who have done this...they get full scholarship and they get to teach native language in another country.

good luck
