There is a new movie coming out, its called Barnyard or something. Anyway, the main character, a male cow, he has utters. This disturbs me. Does anyone else feel that way?

I found this out because we are going to the county fair in September and I got into a conversation with my little cousin. I told him only girl cows have utters. This upset him and he called me a liar. Then he showed me the trailer on TV and I understood why he thought this was true.

Movier makers are stupid and they think that we, the audience are stupid. This Q& A was from teh Roger Ebert answerman column

June 25, 2006

Q. Please help before it's too late! There is still time for the producers of the animated movie "Barnyard" to redub the soundtrack. No wonder Americans are becoming known as the world's stupidest people: apparently we don't even know that milk comes from mommies, not daddies. The brain trust behind this movie spent a fortune to animate "cows" with very prominent udders -- all of which are dubbed with MALE VOICES. Oh, the horror.

Eva Sandor, Chicago

A. Good gravy! I looked at the trailer, and saw a cow, its udder clearly visible, speaking in a male voice. The cows in the movie include Otis (Kevin James), Eddie (S. Scott Bullock), Budd (John DiMaggio) and Ben (gravel-voiced Sam Elliott). There is one girl cow, Bessie, voiced by Wanda Sykes. I'd like to hit Bessie for the 411 on wassup up with those he-cows.

Not familiar with the character, but a cow is female. If an animated movie wants to show it as a male, up to them. After all, animals can't talk either.

UDDERS ... not utters ... and no it doesn't disturb me ... as Lord Z said, "think of the alternative" ... eek! ... but it is odd that they would state that Otis a cow when the character is so clearly masculine ... maybe Otis is trans-gender???

no, why would it bother you? If it's a cow, its female, if its a bull then its male btw. and hey, ps, animals can't talk, does it also disturb you that they talk in the movie?

I never noticed that, but it is disturbing. Some kid is gonna see it and could end up real screwed up...thinking udders go places they shouldn't. Excellent observation

Obviously that was an error but it could be worse if you have ever seen a bull up close so think about the alternatives.
