Well except for the holding hands and singing thing, In real life I do get along fine with blacks, white, asians, and hispanics since I grew up with a very diverse upbringing and because I don't think of what color my friends are unless we talk about the subject specifically.
So, no it's not a dream. It can be real if you want it to in this day and age. You just need to open your mind and quit thinking in terms of race as the barrier. Also, we need to learn and understand each others cultures and not get overly offended by every little word we say to each other. In fact, what some may consider "racist" jokes don't offend me when any of my friends say them to me because I know they understand who I am and I can take a few jabs if I can dish a few myself if it's said in jest. What bothers me though are the truly ignorant ones that assume things based on stereotypes and think you ARE that stereotype. But really it angers me more that they are that stupid and hateful that they're not willing to listen, accept, or view me as anything but a certain person of a certain race.
The problem is everyone needs to acknowledge that we all are ignorant of each other's cultures and all of us naturally harbor some degree of fear and reluctance towards people we don't understand. Instead of attacking each other over these differences we need to educate each other so we won't have so much mistrust towards each other. That's really what it comes down to.

Because we're divided. We have to be globalized, but a globalize world with no oppression. Sounds ideal, huh? It is achievable though and possible, but Memetics (research on memes) fail, either due to elite power glutton countries who want to rule or due to the reawakening of individualized pursuits along the process of unity.

That would be a dream come true, unfortunately there will always be racism of one sort or another. It's just part of the human race. From the beginning of time there has been racism and I don't think we will ever completely get past it.

The only people who can teach us that very well indeed, are the kids in a multicultural class. They are a wonderful example for the world.

I just got back from a family vacation and the answer is NO. If you can't get along with your family, there is no hope for the world.

Your views are good. There should be meeting of minds. For a clap, two hands are required. All will have to think in unison for that to happen.

If it were like that, people would find some other form of hatred. It's all about the balance of good and evil, and everything in between.

Seriously, youd soon get bored. You need things to happen. And for us to get along, we'd need to have exactly the same appearance, personality etc.
