But yet President Clinton's so call affair with Monica made National Headlines.

President Kennedy cheated on his wife Jackie many times. She even found panties in their bed that did not belong to her.

So why can one president cheat on his wife and it is not a big deal but then another does and it is a crime?

I was told that Clinton was impeached, but I am not sure. Was he impeached?

Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives, but not tried by the Senate. It is the responsibility of the Senate to try sitting Presidents and they didn't want to.
Kennedy got a free pass because of his family name. Even though the way the Kennedy family got rich was through bootlegging during Prohibition.
Adultery is still wrong no matter WHO does it or what rank or prestige they have due to their occupation or family name.

Clinton was the second U.S. president to be impeached by the House of Representatives. He was tried in the Senate and found not guilty of the charges brought against him. He apologized to the nation for his actions and continued to have unprecedented popular approval ratings for his job as president.

No, Clinton was not impeached. How old are you? And Kennedy got away with it because television was a new form of communication and the National Inquirer wasn't quite rolling off the newstands yet. We didn't quite know yet how much people loved gossip and dirt. In any case, affairs are wrong. Men don't usually get away with it. There's always a price to pay... but it's private and always between the husband and the wife.

Who said it was OK? Had the truth been known at the time, it would have ruined Kennedy. The fact the Clinton was not ruined is purely due to the fact that our tolerance has, UNFORTUNATELY, changed since the 60's.

Hes managed to avoid it to date. Its funny really, McCain cheated twice and left his first wife, Guiliani another former front runner cheated on his two wives and is on third, ditto Newtie, but of all of them only Obama had a clean woman reputation. So hes not someone I'm worried about. I don't think its just blondes who will be looking though, but that is a nasty bit of racism.

THERE IS A HUGE MEDIA DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NOW AND THEN, BUT WRONG IS WRONG NO MATTER WHAT, I'M SURE THAT CLINTON WOULD RATHER BE ON TRIAL FOR IMPEACHMENT RATHER THAN ASSASSINATED(referring to the end result).

The difference is we didn't have the press back then like have now. The media industry is mammoth compare to back then. We had 3 channels if we were lucky. ABC, CBS, NBC. The world revolved around them.

No, it was not ok for Kennedy to cheat on his wife.but people weren't quite so EVIL as they are now, where the goal is to try and destroy someone's career for their bad judgement.

This is indicative of the partisan politics going on in our current, immature government.
