From all the news reports I have heard 2 Israeli soldiers were kidnapped and Israel started a war fireing missles into civlian targets and is now prepareing for invasion. Lebenon is mostly Catholic not muslim. Israel has occupied the west bank and Gazza completely ilegal but ignored..
We are not hearing the truth and the truth isn't in Israel's favour. Every attempt is made to discredit those who ask questions to anti semite it isn't it's called pro truth and thats not anti Jewish.

You forgot to mention the part where lebanon has been constantly firing thousands of rockets into the heart of Israel's civilian population, completely unprovoked with no attempt whatsoever to go after military targets.

1. There is nothing illegal nor unjustified about what Israel is doing in lebanon.

2. Lebanon basically declared war on Israel, not verbally but by attacking them all out without provocation of any kind.

3. The point of the attacks are genocide.

4. Israel has already rendered terms for a cease fire. Simply stop attacking and move the rockets away from the border. Lebanon's response is an emphatic no, coupled with screaming fits that they intend to kill every jew in Israel. Further, Israel has made it clear that they would disengage from lebanon immediately if a NATO force came to enforce a cease fire (this is their right by treaty to ask for this).

Israel is completely without fault in the current conflict and cannot disengage from the enemy because the enemy is not interested in ceasing hostilities. Nothing less than physically destroying their ability to attack Israel will stop them. This is what Israel intends to do. They've made clear that is the goal and nothing more.

What the arab states, and the UN want is for Israel to stop all hostilities and accept hundreds of rockets being launched deep into the heart of Israel every day.

That's not going to happen.

Lebanese Christians are not Catholic. A sizable proportion of the population is Muslim though offhand I couldn't tell you the percentage.

The truth of the matter is that this isn't an issue with Lebanon per se, it is an issue with Hizbollah. Ever since Israel withdrew from south Lebanon in 2000, Hizbollah has been building up arms. They also established their own quasi mini state in south Lebanon where the Lebanese army did not dare to take over. Thus, this kidnapping was merely the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
Then end result is that Israel has to deal with Hizbollah. The only way to deal with them effectively is to destroy them militarily. You may not like this scenario but that is what we are dealing with.

i feel that an enemy countrys soldier is a legitimate target, and taking prisoners of war is nothing new. prisoners of wars can always be released through a mutual exchange but israel doesnt wanna do tht. because they wanted to goto war from the start. i personally believe that hezbollah should be disarmed myself but bombing civilians is a crime. israel woudlnt have the balls to do it if the syrian army was still in lebanon. when a country gets 5-6 year old girls to sign their bombs which will be dropped into enemy territory, what does it tell you about what the future generations are going to behave like?

It has alittle to do with Iraq.

The whole end game boils down the shiet, the Sunni,
in Iraq,
and what is in store military wise for Iran and Syria.

Many factions are forming alliences in the region and it is much more complicated than just two soliders.

Isreal is taking this as an opportuntiy to accomplish
another objective as well which is to take avantage of the US's non intervention and
two birds with one stone

I am learning more about myself.
