Yes- it hurts if you don't do it right...
Take your time- get menatally prepared and relax. Take time to work in alot of lube- thick is okay, and go water-based. Start small- like fingers and smaller toys and work your way up to the real thing.

Has your boyfriend ever done sodomy before? If you lived in the world 28 years and never did such a thing, why do you need to do it now? Especially since he is just your boyfriend and not your husband! Tell him to find himself a prostitute for such behavior, unless you want to try an act that will painfully, stretch your rectum, possibly give your boyfriend an infection and quite possibly will make you feel dirty and regret having let him do that.
It is bad enough that he wants straight sex from you without the benefit of marriage but that? Don't let him do it in the butt and then enter your vagina. You will get a coliform infection in your vagina from that "kinky" sexual behavior. What's wrong with him?
