I have an 88 GTA. The words inexpensive and power don't usually work good together. The things you have done so far are a good start. Advance your timing to at least 10 deg. BTDC. Aftermarket chips don't do much for a basically stock motor. The first real money I would spend would be on exhaust. Headers, high-flow cat(s), muffler. Expect to spend over a grand for the full system. An adjustable fuel press. regulator always helps. If it's a 350, the injectors are food for about 450 HP so you don't need those. After that, cam, intake (upper, lower, and runners)and a larger throttle body. Or you could buy a nitrous system, use too much, blow it up, and then you can build whatever your budget allows.

Remove the accessory belt. Remove the air filter. Take the mufflers off. Advance the timing. Get a tune up. Get under drive pulleys.

Try getting A bit more air to the engine A hood scoop That would open on demand would give you more power when you need it.

Add octane-booster to the gas, it would give it an extra kick and speed.
