some of the slangs previously mentioned by others are not limited to california and are annoying habits rather than slang.any states where surfers and tanned girls with hair dye dwell repeat a word after each sentence such as "like" or "you know".
i've heard rapstars use the following slangs:
G'd up=the person is gangsta or cool
that's hot=paris copycats use it,means cool also
stupid fresh=another derivation of cool

1. Decaf=Defcaffeinated Coffee
2. Spam=Anything that is useless
3. Like=Just use the word 20 times in any sentence without logic.
4. So=To emphasize trivial things like, "I so need to take dump."
5. Soy=Use soymilk instead of cream

My kids lived in southern California and used the expression "gnarly" which I hadn't heard elsewhere: it means exciting or dangerous.
