In my opinion, Eastbay is the most reliable source for most athletes' sporting needs. Not only do they carry a wide range of products for all the major sports, their service and delivery is quite reliable. If you're looking for shoes/cleats, gloves, socks, compression shirts, etc...all those can be easily found on Eastbay. However, if you're looking for more sports-specific protective gear (such as football pads or catcher's gear for baseball), then it might be better to go to a local sports store (Big 5, Sportsmart) to check out the products in person and try them on if available.

You cant go wrong with Dick's Sporting goods, they offer a wide selection in what you're looking for. Second to me would be Modells.
