I have a beautiful pair of sandals that I've owned for over 10 years and thought that they would be a sure hit. So far I've had great reviews of the products (which are hand-crafter and very high quality), but not too many sales. What's a great way to bring custom shoes to the American (and other ) masses?
Mostly requesting success stories from others who've run import/export or custom product companies. Also channel strategies? Retail vs. Wholesale?

Feeback on pricing also welcome!

I've never spent more than $15 on a pair of sandals and those were doctor scholls with insoles that felt like you were walking on marshmellows. I usually never pay more than $5-10 on a pair. Sandals don't hold up well and your feet sweat horribly in them and then you can't get the smell out. No matter how much they cost, the strappy parts always break or come loose from the sole part. A person would be crazy to spend more than $15. What makes your sandals "high quality"? Just because something is hand crafted doesn't make it high quality. I make purses but they aren't high quality.. they are made from things I buy on clearance.

The most I've ever spent on shoes was $60. The only way I'd spend that much was because I could wear them all year.. not just when it was warm sandal weather. And those were actually high quality.. they lasted 8 years. I guarantee your sandals will not do that.

the jewellery sounds like some thing all and sundry can make. perchance you should attempt an ebay shop. i imagine maximum folk have a good time with procuring rings in man or woman so that you will see the really product - perchance it truly is one reason it isn't promoting. yet, from asking this question, I wager your web site were given numerous hits!

Drop them down to $9.99 and you might sell a pair or two!
