I feel sorry for them and understand their reasons for wanting to do what they do, but I think it is a huge problem! A HUGE problem.

My husband is not a US citizen. We currently do not live in the US and so have not applied for an immigrant visa for him. However, I know that when we do, it will be a long, expensive, and rigorous process for us. The reason it will be so long, expensive, and rigorous is because of all the current illegal aliens in the US. In addition, though my husband has a university degree, his job opportunities will be limited. If there were fewer illegal aliens working jobs in the US, those jobs would have to be filled either by US citizens, or by legal immigrants. Either way, it would open up jobs for my husband and make legal immigration easier for him and for the kinds of people who are currently illegally living in the US.

The reason a country limits immigration is primarily because the economy cannot handle a bunch of new residents who cannot be employed. Therefore, unless you are independently wealthy and can prove that you can live without working in the US, or unless you have a skill that is needed in the US, or unless there is a whole industry in need of workers that aren't being filled by current residents, you cannot immigrate. If the illegal immigrants were not doing jobs at illegal wages, the employers would simply have to employ people at legal wages. The US would have to loosen immigration policy to allow legal immigrants to come to fill those jobs.

The illegals are hurting themselves. They make it possible for people to exploit them because they have very few rights and are afraid to assert those they have for fear of being reported and deported.

This country and most of our founding father were immigrants. So if we go back down the line in most families, some where down the road somebody came with the Mayflower. I believe that if these people play on working hard and doing what is right by the law they should get a green card

I think they should be rounded up and shipped back to wherever they came from. They're living here illegally, taking advantage of many of our hard-earned benefits, and sucking out system dry. Please note: I have NOTHING against anyone who enters the country legally. Our country has always been a country of immigrants. There's a right way and a wrong way to do it, however.

there're not many illegal asians here because the ones who try usually die or get caught after arriving. i think they should stay (the mexicans) after all, who would do gardening for you caucasians? who would be the house keeper? the babysitter? and all for barely minimum wages too.

plus, it costs a lot of money to become a citizen. first you make them live off of minimum wage, then u make them pay???

Round them up, ship them back to where they came from. Even though the USA would not be re-imbursed, invoice the countries they came from for the cost of shipping them back.

It's a plague on the USA.

They are cowards. If they want to be in this country, do it the legal way and gain citizenship. If others can, why can't the illegals.

They shouldn't be allowed in the country, they shouldn't be allowed the benefits and housing they get. British people are made to suffer because of them as their needs always come first.
