When they ask questions, such as this, in a public forum to get answers from people on how they can be detected so that they can learn how to lie better.

Ask them a simple question like what is the coolest book you ever read and if they say War and Peace, The Executioner's Song, or Pride and Prejudice you know they are a serial liar.

if his name is peter, ask him if his name is paul
if he says yes, he's a serial liar
if no, he told the truth that time, thus not a serial liar,
doesnt help you find out if he is a normal liar tho
a serial liar cant help lying at anytime, there is a difference

Well if they lie often and you can never trust them on whether they are telling the truth or not. They never keep their word and they can't look you straight in the eyes. If you ask them stuff and they studder a lot or beat around the bush..they are probably lying. You can usually sense when someone is lying..

During a lie, the person will not look you in the eye...and when asked to recall, they look up at the left. Truth tellers look up to the right.

I have several of those in my family. Its easy for me to spot one out. My step sister is the BEST of the BEST of liars.

...Well the truth is...(sorry I just had to) ALL repeat ALL people are serial liars.... just with some the gap( time interval ) is longer .....
Now that is the Truth......really the truth ....I swear....no kidding
