4th and 1 at the 1. I don't want some dude who crossed the goalline a couple of times in one year (the fridge). I want a RB who showed consistent ability to get the TD. Ideally I’d want someone who was adept at going over the top, like Marcus Allen or Walter Peyton. Emmitt didn't go over the top much but he definitely had the knack for finding the small crease.

Marion Motley. In an era where the average lineman weighed about 250, he weighed 270, as a full back.

Jim Brown. The biggest, baddest man every to strap on a helmet.
Second would be Walter Payton. His will always got him in, even on horrible Chicago teams.

Emmitt Smith.
He's not the best ever RB but for your question he is the best answer.
He has more 1 yard TD's than ANYONE IN NFL HISTORY!!
He is the right choice and my choice.
Catch 22 baby!!

usually id say emmitt or payton, but for some reason today Id have to take priest... just cuz his 4th and goal linemen jumps were just so pretty... u ever notice he never landed really awkwardly in the endzone.
