Depends upon who you asks. Any program like lime-wire, can infect your computer with virus's and spy-ware, especially if you download the game, and movies. (The movies are the big no no's, people go to jail for downloading movies.
The other bad thing about limewire, is when you are downloading songs, it slows your Internet connection way down. Meaning web pages will either take a long time to load, or wont load at all, this will affect everyone in the household, who is online.

Limewire delivers what it claims, but it has spy ware that reports back to some place what sites you visit and what is on your computer. It's best to use Limewire on a second computer that doesn't have sensitive information to be sent out. Is that worth a few saved dollars? I think not

I had it, but a song that I downloaded screwed up my computer so bad (the adware got into the Windows registry) that I had to buy a new computer. So, I don't recomend it. The official website says that tehre is NO adware, spyware or viruses, but that's not true.

Its free and no worries of copyrights just avoid one with a black looking box they are torrents they can messup your PC if you open them. Good Luck have Fun!!!! You can run a virus scan at Files no need to freak on what others say.

yes limewire is the best as long as u have antivirus program bcuz you are downloading shared files from other peoples pc

I used to have it, but then one day I turned on my computer and my computer was all fxxked up 'cause I had a virus. i've heard limewire comes with 2 viruses

I did have it and got 3 virus's through it...I now have Bearshare and have not had aproblem with it..Bearshare has more to choose from than Limewire.

it rocks but u have to go to download.com and download limewire, if you go to lime wire site they charge you download.com its a free download!
