I always plant my cherry tomatoes in a tall cage too. It is very normal for the plant to get that tall. Last year I had over 100 small cherry tomatoes, just off of one plant. I kept giving them away to my family members and about 200 more were ready to pick. The secret is to water them every other day in the morning. They are perfect for salads.

I have always planted cherry tomatoes and what you describe is very normal. You are certainly feeding your plant properly or it would not be growing so good!! Be sure to keep the fruit picked and water well with a side dressing of fertilizer such as Miracle Grow to help it stay healthy. It should bear plenty of fruit until excessive heat slows it down.

I plant my tomatoes in cages that are 6 ft. tall and they always "overgrow" the cages. Nothing unusual about that at all. Just says they are doing well. Enjoy!

That's large, but not a record. You must have put fertilizer on it!
