Tolerance by definition means silent disapproval.
It does NOT mean you have to like or agree with it.
You should only be tolerant if you believe in democractically decided laws that allow for man-man marriages. In democratic countries, you have to live by the law, and respect it because it was democractically chosen.. that's the consequence of believing in democracy.
The idea is that you should tolerate all who are different but commit no crimes, .. and western societies do not have high ideals beyond 'personal freedom', wtih the only restriction that "you should be able to be free to do whatever you want, as long as you don't hurt other people's rights for the same".
The reality is of course that it does affect society and influence our kids.. but that's something to be discussed and debated.

Tolerance is pretty simple. You don't have to like what they do, or even approve of it. You just have to, you know, 'not complain'.
So you see? Now it just got a whole lot simpler to tolerate homosexuals!
(I am pretty open to gay marriage, which is probably because I'm from Denmark, where it's been legal for gay people to get married since 1989, (first country to do so in the world actually))

People should be tolerant of it because they really shouldn't care that much. Why NOT be tolerant?
How does it affect your life if homosexuals are getting married? How does it affect your life if they are having sex? I'll bet it doesn't affect you at all. People are doing it right now, is it causing you pain? Is it impeding your rights?
Being "tolerant" just means letting other people live their lives, it doesn't mean you have to be thrilled about it, it just means you let other people live as they fit.

The question is, does man on man marriage or sex detract from your life or harm it in some way, especially if you're not witness to it? If not, where is the problem? The essence of living in a democracy is that one person has rights and freedoms as long as they don't infringe on another person's rights and freedoms.

Jesus said "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself." I don't have to agree with what they are doing, but I do have to love them as I love myself. I don't have to vote for gay marraige to be legal, but I do have to respect that they want to be married. Tolerance is a tricky word that often gets misused. When I tell people that I am tolerant of that lifestyle, they think I'm saying that it is ok. What I'm actually saying is that I am not God, and thus not in a position to judge what another person says or does if it doesn't affect me. I may not agree with it, but I am in no position to tell them that they are going to go to hell.

Because it is something that adults choose to do in the privacy of their own homes, that cause to negative repurcussions to anyone else. It doesn't hurt anyone, therefore it is not immoral. There is no victim. The government is in place to protect Americans from other people, like murders, rapists, terrorists, but not themselves. People should make their own choices as long as they don't hurt anyone else. That is my opinion on how it should be. VOTE LIBERTARIAN!

It's nobody's business, but the conservative right tends to think they have a right to know who everyone's sleeping with.
I could care less who "tolerates" my sexual appetite.
If they wanna get involved in my bedroom, then they'll have to come knocking on my door.

Man/Man Marriage is an oxymoron. There is no such thing. You cannot have a marriage of a man with a man. Marriage was ordained by God to be a union of a man and a woman.

Why wouldn't I be tolerant? I'm not in the bedroom with them.
