Virtually every band singer, from Dick Haymes to Frank Sinatra, and the same time span of female singers. (They don't like the term, "girl singer" anymore. I don't blame them at all.)
Certainly later on, Ella Fitzgerald and that whole gamut of excellent vocalists.
And of course, a bunch of nearly great singers, male and female.
