Definitely not #5 or 7. Don't know who Eddie Wedder is, but it sounds like Eddie Vedder. He isn't really a musician, as he mostly does vocals. I think it's between Tom Waits, Jimmi Hendrix, John Lennon, Jimmi Page, and Frank Zappa. They all were (are) very creative and talented. All of them have had a tremendous impact on rock and have done a lot to expand it's sound.

Jimi Hendrix and David Gilmour are awesome. Jimi is arguably the best guitar player ever. Gilmour can come up w/ really great music, just listen to any Pink Floyd cd, especially Wish You Were Here (lots of instrumental). Lennon is great too, probably the most influential man in Rock history.

The King and Jerry Lee Lewis who truly envied the sucssess and acceptance of Elvis with the commonly used public. i imagine Elvis voice must be heard on over seventy 5 us of a songs. that is an on going debate among us of a followers as to whose extra ideal yet my funds must be on Elvis. And for most years decrease back contained in the 1950's Johnny funds claimed to be a Rock N Roll singer. i imagine a range of of 1950's us of a stars were jealous of the up and coming Rock and Roll circulate.

Unfortunately you don't have the greatest musician ever on here..The best is by far Maynard James Keenan (frontman of Tool and A perfect Circle-CAD-and many more) he is completely 100% brilliant but if I had to pick out of your list it would have to be Freddie Mercury

Not that I disagree that those above you listed aren't great, but my vote goes to guitarists David Roback (Opal, Mazzy Star, and Rain Parade) and Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine). I simply enjoy their talent and style the best. Kevin has been known as a perfectionist when it comes to his music, and you can hear that in the album "Loveless". They nearly sent their band label bankrupt with production costs.

Tom Waits, definitely. He has such a distinctive voice, and his ballads are *so* moving. I think he's been so overlooked due to all the crap that's being "instantly produced" today.
I'm surprised you didn't include Leonard Cohen in this list.

out of all of those it is John Lennon. i think that you can't bet the oldies. John Lennon probably made rock music, and he was with the Beetles which were very good. so it has to be John Lennon.
