This question is backwards. It's not about what people want to hear, it's about what you want to give them. This question is just going to give you people's favorite bands, if not silly answers. The things they can listen to in their car. That's not what going to a club, party, etc is all about. You need to lead them to where you want to go, and make sure they come along with you. You should already know every band and every song that anyone here is going to mention, or you're in the wrong game.

What kind of music do I want to hear at a goth club? Mixed. That means I don't want some mobile DJ who can barely beat match 8 beats. Find a real DJ who's willing to spin gothic industrial music. I want the music to flow, one into the other. I want new music, not something that's 25 years old. Post 2000 at the very least, if not 2003. You should be at the top of the chain when it comes to new music, and giving them new songs before they even know it's out. Sure you need your hooks, but at least use remixes or something.
