We have just reformed and our last band name was well known.
Now we have a new band we are looking for a new name.
I know I'm gonna get some doofus answers on here but the serious ones I will look out for.
We are a rock/blues band if it helps!
Thanks guys!

nah. im just kidding. i really have no idea.. plus to think of a band name for you, without hearing your music just isnt right.. you should think of something yourselves...

maybe make it creative.. like something that you've all lived through.. like the band 'arcade fire' they say it was a real experience their town went through and the arcade actually caught fire...

or you could take something from one of your songs.. an example would be dashboard confessional where in their song The Sharp Hint of New Tears it says

"on the way home, this car hears my confessions"

hence : dashboard confessional.

good luck!

Yay, a new band!

question: do you play covers or originals?

if covers, you are a commercial outfit. Choose a name that will get gigs, and that will tell the punters what they're getting. Be callous.

if originals, think longer about it.

Either way, test the name out on some innocent bystanders before you try it. Don't forget PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting, who rebranded themselves "Monday". It lasted about a week.

Colour themes go well for the type of music your playing. Try messing around with words that pop into your head and change the combo's..Indigo..Crimson...Yellow logic..Protex blue..See Red..Black Diamond..Black out..flash back...Core Melt Down
..fuse..D-fuse..D-Fusion..Alpha and Omega.. The Downloaders..Spy Robots..13 bars..Intro Seeds..Out of Place..Cry Baby's..Ergot..Vision..Vizor..Unspecifeid quantum..Spaces between..Mind Set..Mystery Train..With and Without..Chaos Order..Now and Then..Only Now..Roots and Shoots..I could go on..and yes some are naff but it's amazing what comes out. Alternatively get a sheet of paper and 'mind map' your band likes and dislikes etc and see where you touch base.

I'm 19 and I live in Florida. My favourite artists are Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, et al. I play guitar and harmonica, plus backup vocals and percussion. Would love to join in if possible...

Can't wait. We named our one Crushed Nuts, after my granddad. who had an ice cream van. Mr. Whippy was registered. We've disbanded now so, you're more than welcome.
